NORTH CENTRAL REGION VOLUNTEER FORUM
We all want to extend a big THANK YOU to all who worked to make the recent North Central Region Volunteer Forum the success it was. We had 244 registered attendees from 12 states in the Midwest. Fifty workshops were presented and all were very well done. The social events went well and were enjoyed by all. Our Keynote speaker, Michelle Cummings (a Kansas 4-H Alum) rocked the crowd with her opening speech and taught us how it felt when our words and actions were not in agreement. To see a video of the activity she lead the group in go to: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tzoneuVwLC8 Kansas 4-H Volunteers put the capnote on the North Central Region Volunteer Forum. Special recognitions go to the Forum Co-Chairs, Donna Maskus, Ellis County and Jan Keim, River Valley District and the Leadership Team, Mary Bernhardt, Central Kansas District, Mary Waymire, Flint Hills District, Jenna Braun, Ellis County, Cindy Grant, Pawnee County, Lora Norquest, Finney County, Janell Robertson, Ford County, Allison Lecklider, Central Kansas District and their Committee Chairs. As of early November, 28 volunteers from 18 local Extension Units have completed the course. The course has been completed at all times of day and night, especially week ends. It is available 24/7, so is available when ever the volunteer has the time. The directions and information about the course are at: http://www.kansas4-h.org/doc6701.ashx.
