48 HOURS OF 4-H
According to The 4-H study of Positive Youth Development, 4-Hers are nearly 4 times more likely to make contributions to their communities. But just how much can they do? In one weekend this fall, 48-Hours of 4-H will challenge club members, adult leaders and 4-H alumni to explore their service capabilities and inspire the community around them by taking part in some type of service project during the weekend of October 11-12, 2014. It might be a little project for a club or a big project the whole district or county gets involved in. It will be awesome to see what Kansas 4-H can accomplish during that time period.
On 48 Hours of 4-H webpage you will find the following: - Information about the event - A guide to plan a project that includes a timeline - Graphics to use for Promotion
Coming Soon - - Information about ordering shirts for the event - Online Registration for projects
Please follow the project on Facebook
This Kansas 4-H challenge is brought to you by the Kansas 4-H Youth Leadership Council in conjunction with the K-State Research and Extension Department of 4-H Youth Development with generous support from the Kansas 4-H Foundation.

ACCESS: REPORTS FOR COUNTY FAIR
County fair time is approaching so many of you will beneeding to run ACCESS reports. Options are to either run larger reports and format it into separate projects or run multiplereports. Here are a few different report styles that will provide you with the Youth's Name, 4-H Age, Club, Projects, Age/Grade and Years of Participation for each project. If you would like more information in the report, click Return to Report Builder to check additional column boxes.
REPORT: All Projects in All Program Areas This large report will show ALL local projects in ALL state program areas. I suggest using a Pivot Table to separate project areas; this process will take approximately 30 minutes using this method. Pivot table instructions: detailed; simple.
REPORT: Multiple Projects in One Program Area This report will show ALL local projects that are mapped to a SPECIFIC state program area. To provide a working link, I had to chose a program area to filter by. In this case, I chose "clothing," so this report link will provide all projects (construction and buymanship in all levels) for the Clothing & Textiles program.
To change the report to a different program area, click Return to Report Builder and change the name after "LGU program name contains any." Remember to use a broad program name like photography or visual (for visual arts). **Make sure the filter says "contains any" each time.
REPORT BUILDER: Single Project in One Program Area This link will take you to the ACCESS report builder area and is formatted to help you report ONE local project at a time. To report using this link, you must add another filter. Under ALL of these conditions, add "Extension Program equals any," then begin typing the desired project name until options appear in the drop down box and select it. Williams
