Ten Teens and 4-H Alumni Approved as Kansas Exchange Delegates
At state interviews Saturday, December 3, eight were approved for 2017 outbound travel through States’ 4-H International Exchange Programs (States’ 4-H) and their applications have been submitted to the States’ 4-H Headquarters. After December 15, we will be notified of their acceptance for their first choices of countries. We have received word that more applicants are anticipated than Finland has agreed to accept. If some who were submitted by Kansas don’t get their first choice of countries, we expect they will be offered another country. Next month’s Tip Sheet should include final country assignments. The States’ 4-H applicants and their local Extension units include:
Jamie Beck - Flint Hills District, Council Grove
Rachel Fisher - Scott County
Zia Gaines - Cowley County
Grayson Pray - Sumner County
Casandra Rodriguez, Grant County
Oliver Schmitz - Marshall County
Josie Swinford - Leavenworth County
Alex Thompson - Meadowlark District, Oskaloosa
Two 4-H alumni were approved as Kansas delegates in the IFYE Program, June –December, 2017. Country assignments will be negotiated with IFYE Association of the USA. They will be announced when those decisions have been agreed. The Kansas prospective IFYE delegates are:
Kelsey Crow - Meadowlark District, Holton
Maria Traskowsky, Dickinson County
