Total Eclipse of the Sun Viewable in Parts of Kansas
On Monday, August 21 there will be a total eclipse of the sun around 1 p.m. lasting from 90 – 150 seconds. The path of the eclipse will cut across northeast Kansas. Most of Kansas will not experience a total eclipse. If you have never seen one, you should consider making plans to travel to see this once-in-a-lifetime event. You will need special glasses to view the eclipse. You cannot look directly at the sun. For full details about the eclipse, visit: https://www.greatamericaneclipse.com/.
