Virtual Opportunities for Experiencing other Cultures this Summer
States’ 4-H International Exchange Programs, Kansas’ partner for managing 4-H age exchange programs, is conducting virtual programs for 4-H members in participating states this summer. They are starting in early June, so interested members need to register immediately. Maximum registrations may have been reached when this information reaches county offices in the Tip Sheet. Members who applied for travel and hosting in 2021 were sent information when we received it. Both programs are open to all 4-H’ers and their families, if space is still available.
The first session via zoom was about Taiwan was conducted June 9. It involved 4-H staff and members in Taiwan and a States’ 4-H moderator showing various cultural aspects including languages, holidays and Taiwan 4-H . Interested 4-H’ers and families can register for the second session can register until close to the live zoom on June 25 about Japan at:

Other countries to be explored are Norway, South Korea and Egypt. Each has a zoom link to be sent to those who register. Interested persons can find registration links for the later countries on the States’ 4-H Facebook page or contact Mary Kay Munson at mkm2@ksu.edu.
