KJLS Entries Due August 15
Entries for the Kansas Junior Livestock Show (KJLS) are due August 15. A complete nomination does not constitute entry; it only makes animals eligible. All exhibitors and animals must be entered directly through KJLS using the ShoWorks entry link posted on their website. Only online entries will be accepted. Families who state nominated livestock will use the exhibitor name and password created for each child during the nomination process to login and submit entries. Families must use their nomination account to be able to enter their nominated animals in the market division or commercial breeding division.
Youth must submit official entries and have a receipt showing their show entry fees have been paid for KJLS to participate. Those who nominate but do not enter KJLS will NOT be allowed to participate.
Show entry is also when youth will enter showmanship for each specie in which they would like to exhibit. Additionally, youth have the opportunity to enter the LEAD Challenge and showcase their knowledge of the livestock industry through a variety of contests and activities. Scholarship applications are due on August 15 as well.
Youth who only plan to show registered breeding females will submit their YQCA number during the entry process.

Late entries will be accepted until August 25, with a late fee. No entries will be accepted after August 25. For those who still have an incomplete nomination on file, entry approval is pending until nomination corrections are received. For more information, visit https://www.kjls.net/.
Continuing this year, county agents and ag teachers will approve the entries for exhibitors from their county/school online by logging into their club account through the ShoWorks link on the KJLS website. Entries may be approved at any time until the system closes on August 25.
