2017 Outbound International Exchange Selection and Orientation
All 2017 Kansas 4-H Outbound Exchange applicants will be on campus December 3 for Interviews and First Orientation. As of this writing, there are seven applicants for States’ 4-H Exchanges to Costa Rica, Finland or Japan and two applicants for the six-month IFYE program.
At least one agent in the counties the applicants represent has been notified regarding the applicant, for your information. Applicants will meet with three teams of interviewers who will try to determine their readiness for the exchange for which they are applying. While interviews are taking place for some, others will begin their orientation to the exchanges and international experiences in cultural emersion. At the end of the day each applicant will receive the results of his or her interviews, and those who are approved will have their applications submitted to the national level for final placement decisions. Approved delegates will be in contact with Extension agents in their counties or districts.
