4-H Volunteers and Staff May Apply as Chaperone on States’ 4-H Exchanges
Chaperones are being recruited for each of the exchanges listed for teens. Chaperones must be at least 25 years of age. Depending on the size or the delegation, one or more will be selected by States’ 4-H at the U. S. national level. States’ 4-H is looking for international travel experience and language capability for non-English speaking areas. They also favor experience working with teens and like to reward volunteers and Extension staff who have helped conduct 4-H exchanges and other programs.
Applications are posted on the Kansas 4-H Exchange web page: https://www.kansas4-h.org/events-activities/global-citizenship/kansas-4-h-international-exchanges/. They are due November 1, and participants are required to participate in Kansas interviews and the orientation November 24 in Junction City. Include references on the form, but do not provide the Medical form until selected at the national level. Final placements may come as late as March, 2020. Contact Mary Kay Munson for information.
