Outbound International Exchange Interviews and First Orientation
Six teens from four Kansas Extension Units (Cottonwood District (2), Johnson County (2), Wabaunsee County and West Plains District are scheduled to attend a combination Interview and First Orientation session at the Geary County 4-H and Center November 21 in Junction City. Their applications have been submitted and recommendations will be forwarded to States’ 4-H International Exchange Programs (States’ 4-H), where country placements will be made. We currently have interest in going to Japan, Costa Rica, Romania, and Norway. 4-H alumni from Walnut Creek (Rush) and Cowley County will be interviewed for the IFYE Program. During the Orientation we will be encouraging those approved to participate in exchanges to meet with local Extension Agents to discuss their plans. Agents are being copied on written communications with applicants related to their applications.
