Kansas 4-H Plans to Host FLEX Students Next Year
As of this writing, two 4-H families have committed to host high school students as part of the Future Leaders Exchange (FLEX) in 2018-19. Girls from Ukraine and Poland are scheduled to arrive in late July or early August to begin their school years in Kansas high schools. The FLEX program is sponsored by the U.S. Department of State for selected students from Eurasian countries formerly under the influence of the Soviet Union. There are still FLEX students needing 4-H Academic Year Program host families through States’ 4-H International Exchange Programs, in addition to students from Japan and South Korea for 2018-19. Contact Mary Kay Munson, Kansas 4-H International Exchange Coordinator, at 785-238-3631 or munson@ksbroadband.net for more information about hosting for the school year.
