Two Kansas 4-H’er Named National Ambassadors
Rebecca Johnson, Stevens County, 2019 outbound to Finland, has been selected for one of the national States’ 4-H 2019 Global Citizen Scholarships. Rebecca will be promoting outbound exchanges through writing blogs and news articles on a cross cultural event, project or experience in her community and promoting exchanges upon her return from Finland and the Nordic 4-H Camp in Denmark. Rebecca receives a $500 scholarship toward her exchange expenses. Lauren Moon, Geary County, host to Academic Year Exchangee Liza Borysenko, Ukraine, has been named one of two States’ 4-H Teen Ambassadors for the Academic Year Program (AYP). Lauren will assist with orientation for incoming AYP students from Japan and South Korea for the 2019-20 school year July 29-Aug 3, 2019 in Seattle, WA. Lauren receives air flights and expenses in Seattle from States’ 4-H.
