Global Citizenship includes programming Kansas 4-H Youth Development does in partnership with States’ 4-H International Exchange Programs (States’ 4-H) for 4-H aged youth and IFYE, exchanges with 4-H and rural youth programs for 19 to 25 year-olds conducted by IFYE USA, inc. Links to applications for both programs should be 2021 submitted online by November 1 for Kansas applicants. This year States’ 4-H applications require that references, photos and releases be uploaded as part of the applications.
Interviews for applicants for States’ 4-H and IFYE exchanges in Kansas will be conducted in Junction City November 21 along with the first orientation to international exchange programs. We will communicate with applicants about the Outbound Interviews and First Orientation after November 1. Copies of the communications will be sent to parents/guardians and local 4-H professionals in their Extension units.
If a potential applicant for one of the exchanges learns about outbound exchanges too late for the November 1 application date, they should contact the State Exchange Coordinator, Mary Kay Munson, at mkm2@ksu.edu or 785-375-3189, who can also answer questions about all international exchange programs.
