Spring Time & Professional Development
Spring is coming, and this season reminds me of growth and renewal, with March being a time of new beginnings. Now is the perfect opportunity to reflect on your incredible work throughout the current 4-H year. As you reflect on this work, do you need to add some new tools to your professional toolbox? Or are there some tools you need to sharpen? Now is the time to engage in professional development before the busyness of the summer takes hold. There are numerous opportunities for professional development in April, and I encourage you to take advantage of them as your schedule allows.
Some of the professional development opportunities this spring include:
- Adobe Creative Cloud – Multimedia Experience Tutorials, self-paced.
- KAE4-HA & Youth Development PFT Spring Meeting, April 8-10 in Wichita.
- Crucial Conversations Training, April 15-17 in Salina.
- Personal Safety & De-Escalation Training, April 1 (Hays) and April 16 (Emporia).
- Registration closed earlier this month.
- For Volunteers: Spring into Volunteering, April 26 in Salina.
The list above is nowhere near a comprehensive list of things offered this spring, but just a sample of what is out there. Do not hesitate to seek professional development for those specific tools you need to succeed as an Extension Agent.
As we continue to move through this 4-H year, let’s continue to inspire and empower our youth to reach their full potential. Your commitment and passion make a significant difference in their lives, and we are grateful for all you do.
Thank you for your dedication to Kansas 4-H Youth Development. We are continuing to build a brighter future for our youth and communities.
