Academic Year Exchange Students Arrive August 1
Kansas 4-H will be hosting two Japanese high school students for school year in Finney and Clay Counties as part of States’ 4-H International Exchange Programs. These students will arrive in Wichita on August 1 for a short Kansas Orientation before meeting their host families for the year on August 2. The delegates, their hosts and counties/districts are as follows:
Shota Wada, Randy and Becky McVey, Finney County
Yuriko Tatkeki, Mike and Donna Taphorn, Clay County, River Valley District
Special thank you’s go to Tayla Cannella, Deanna Turner and Karen Langvardt who will provide support to them as local coordinators throughout their stay. Thanks to John Forshee and Tayla for helping with technical support for host family orientation via Zoom and to Jodi Besthorn and Sedgwick County for providing a room for the students’ orientation.
