We Want to Share Our House with You!
Alpha of Clovia 4-H Cooperative Living House is the premier housing destination for current and former 4-H students attending Kansas State University. Established by 4-H alumnae in 1931, Clovia seeks to create a network of college students with the same values and work ethic while also helping alleviate the pressure of funding a college education by providing an alternative to the dorms or off-campus living. As a cooperative house, Clovia relies on its members to be responsible for the everyday functions of the house, such as cooking and cleaning. Each girl takes an even amount of the responsibilities, carefully scheduled so that school continues to be a priority. As a house, Clovia hosts social events and community service events throughout the course of the year to strengthen the bonds we have with each other. Above all, Clovia promotes an attitude of scholarship by requiring our members to maintain a 2.65 GPA.
We refer to Clovia as “one of the best kept secrets of Kansas,” but we want to share our house with you. If you, or someone you know may be interested in learning more about Clovia, we encourage you to reach out to us. Our primary form of contact is through email at alphaofclovia@gmail.com. We can also be found at www.alphaofclovia.org, or on Facebook www.facebook.com/alphaofclovia/. If you would like a sneak peak of the house, check out our 3-D photo tour of Clovia. Feel free to come visit next time you are in Manhattan, call ahead at 785-320-7970, or just drop in. We’d love to give you a tour. Our address is 1200 Pioneer Lane, Manhattan, KS 66502. In the spirit of our 4-H roots, we’d love to help you continue “To Make the Best Better.”
4-H Agents are most welcome to share this information with their older 4-H'ers!
