Kansas 4-H’ers Selected for Norway Exchange
All four Kansas 4-H’ers nominated by Kansas 4-H International Exchange Programs have been selected as part of the 2016 delegation to Norway by States’ 4-H International Exchange Programs. The U.S delegation is expected to include 15 teens from throughout the country and a chaperone. They will begin their exchange an outbound orientation where they will meet the rest of their delegation at a gateway city on June 29 and depart for Norway on June 30. After a short Norway 4H orientation in Oslo, each will spend the rest of a month with Norway 4H host families and attend National 4-H Camp. They return to Kansas July 31. The Kansas delegates and their Extension unit are as follows:
- Riley Angleton, Southwind District, Neosho County
- Lauren Baalman, Golden Prairie District, Logan County
- Catherine Davidson, Leavenworth County
- Kane Thimmesch, McPherson County
The outbound delegates will have their second Kansas orientation February 27-28 in Gypsum, Kansas, in conjunction with the Kansas IFYE Association’s spring meeting on February 27.
